power permission
Nov. 6th, 2017 07:26 pmPower Permission:
Jon has the power of compulsion, meaning when he uses it and asks a question he can compel people to answer the question.
1. People will notice this is happening, there will be a static sound and a sort of pull. I'm more than happy with people being able to fight it off through sheer will power if you want, or you can do something to break his concentration.
2. This isn't just for getting a truthful answer, it's more to compel people to give him a story. If he asks how someone's day was they'll tell him all about the day rather than just truthfully saying it was bad. This compels people who don't usually talk much or don't talk about their feelings to do so. Often times people under this power don't talk like they usually would, since the power helps them be more talkative and concise.
3. Once the statement/answer starts it usually can't be broken, so fighting it off or stopping it usually has to happen before they actually answer. It also is fairly subtle, so people may think they stopped it or resisted then tell the whole story anyway and after go 'huh.'
4. Jon isn't constantly using it, most questions are just normal. I'll never use it in a thread without asking permission first!
So basically if it's extremely not cool ever to use it let me know! Otherwise I'll ask on a case by case basis.
